The space of a dream manifests the unconscious forces of psyche, desire, wish, intent and presents itself as hidden, the macabre, the underlying. In reading of this artwork the dream logic and interpretation of dreams should be employed as a method of reading. Embracing an associative process and symbolic reading. As thought by the Surrealists, the female eye casting threat to the masculine haunting the dream space, as an angelic figure which gaze should be countered by an ‘eye-slit’ that is the danger associated with the eternal feminine. The series Isomorphic is an exploration of natural, organic form. The work asks for symbolic interpretation and understanding of the imagery that is associated with natural biological form. Referring to the movement Organic Abstraction, the work takes focus on organic processes emphasizing fluidity, transiency, co-dependency, mutation. The work explores the physical form addressing common anxieties associated with the natural form, detraction, fear, paranoia.
